4th of July Fun

Another busy holiday week/weekend here! There was lots of sailing, a traditional bonfire & fireworks at Pierre's cottage, the dance at the yacht club and some just plain fun in the sun. Dean joined us here for the festivities and we all had a great time. More photos here.

Yes, they really are over 30! Pierre's bonfire has very unique traditions and the headresses are just part of the deal. It really is quite an experience.
Ike slept through the fireworks and fanfare.
The bonfire consists of 50+ wooden palates on a big rock out in Long Island Sound. Each year there is a different "centerpiece" for the fire and this year it was Rob Wilber's old Blue Jay.
On Sunday, we hung out on the Shelter and Ike enjoyed his dip in the trash can.


Time to go home!
