This morning we departed Oshkosh , WI at 6:50 am and made it back to Chester in 5.5hrs with no stops ( nice tailwind). It was great to meet alot of new people out there who all had a good story to tell on how they ended up there. We saw some great planes and a cool airshow, and camping out was one of the high points..

Welcome to Oshkosh was a welcome radio call that we heard turning final into Oshkosh Wisconsin. Pete, rick, Bing, and myself made the 700 mile flight to the EAA Airventure 2008. The biggest assembly of General Aviation in the world. We spent the night camping under the wing in tents with 10,000 other aircraft. This morning we walked the show and enjoyed pawing over all the new airplanes. The big airshow starts this pm. More to come..

James gave a quick tutorial on picking the crabs as most Yankees are only familiar with lobsters.
These are from 4th of July weekend but somehow I missed them for the blog. Ike and Molly were having a good time on the platform of the Shelter. Ike has progressed quite a bit since then too and this weekend Harcourt was in the water and Ike was jumping in on his own and having a ball. 
Ike finally learned "no" along with the famous "why" and best of all "Mommy"... yeah!
In our house, we like to make the MOST of Summer. Tonight was a pretty typical mid-week night.... hot at the house and nice on the water! Which would you choose? Exactly!
Summertime....another gorgeous weekend here in Guilford. We did lots of fun activities and by Sunday night we are all whooped. Today we got up and went to the beach early with the Petersons and Steffens, followed by early nap and then a 'Big Whaler' ride out to the Thimbles for a raft up with Cutter, Stacey, Wylder & Co. Ike is a real fish these days and loves to jump in and swim with Harcourt off the boat. As someone who grew up learning to swim in the Country Club swimming pool in Atlanta, GA, it is very impressive to see a little 1.5yr old happily jumping into deep, dark, cold and salty water (with life jacket of course). We ended the day with a little picnic :-) A few more shots here. We hope you all are enjoying your summer!

More to come tomorrow but this should give you some idea of our weekend. The weather wasn't stellar but it didn't seem to slow us down at all. It was a typical 4th for us that included boats, sailboat races, naps, pyrotechnics, bonfire, dinner & dancing with friends, parades, oh and did I mention more boats....we are definitely tired. Hope your holiday weekend was a good one!
