Seal Island
Last weekend we took advantage of the warm day on Sunday and did some fishing and then took the whaler out of Seal Island. Yes, there are seals out there but I didn't get any photos of them. Ike was of course thrilled for the adventure and Nilla was in heaven!

I finally got this video from Harcourt's phone. It is such a memorable moment in my life and I am so happy I have a video to remember it forever!
Brothers
I can honestly say Ike is a GREAT big brother. My biggest gripe with him is that he wants to wake up Legare to play with him and be able to hold him. He is so sweet with him it is unbelievable. I have no doubt this will change over time but for now we are enjoying the brotherly love. We are so thrilled to have been able to give Ike a little brother.

What is in a name?
Harcourt and I didn't tell anyone (even parents) the names we had picked out for Ike & Legare until they were born. We like that when our boys were born we got to announce the sex and the name.
Legare is a lowcountry name so for people in New England it is different and a name most have never heard before. It is tricky that it is not phonetically spelled [La-Gree] but people seem to be catching on :) We love that we are able to connect our roots to Charleston with his name since it is where we met 11 yrs ago this fall. We received as baby gifts the books in the photo below - there is an adorable series of books about the adventures of Legare the Lizard, a lowcountry lizard. We had no idea these books existed - thanks Susanne & Shannon!
Sawyer was going to be in the name for sure - boy or girl. It was very important to me to have my family's name included. I am very close to my family and the Sawyer family is full of wonderful people and it is an honor to use the name!

Jimmie & Pepe came up to meet Legare and spend time with their grandsons. As always, they are beyond helpful but overall we just love having them around to spend time with us. We miss them very much but look forward to Jimmie's return visit in October!!
