This afternoon at the end of the year awards at the Club Harcourt decided that to keep Ike quiet he would give him a Dove Bar (while sitting on his shoulders!)... needless to say, he had no idea how much Ike was going to LOVE it :-) 
Mmmmm.
Ike is loving spending time with Jimmie and Pepe. School is closed today and tomorrow and I am not sure who is wearing out who but they are having a grand time.
The weather this weekend was simply gorgeous and we had a busy time with Pepe and Jimmie arriving on Friday and Uncle Dean came in from NYC for the weekend. Saturday was chocked full of boating and sailing...more pics to come on that later. This morning, we headed for our usual Sunday am spot, Madison Surf Club, and there was quite a gang of our friends there! The kids love the beach and we had a fun time showing Pepe and Jimmie our Summer routine. Click here to see more.

Last night was my final photography class and I did some neat post production (Photoshop) work to this photo and I thought it turned out great.
Just wanted to give a quick update on what Ike is up to these days. He is really enjoying the Summer and just having fun! He loves the beach, boats, ping pong at the yacht club, bubbles of any sort, tractors, slides and pretty much anything that involves being outside. He finally says Mommy with great authority and very often which makes me feel so loved. But, as you can see from these pics Daddy is really the most fun. He is speaking more words and definitely has no problem saying "I want that!" but I am happy to say he also learned how to say "please" (aka peeze).

This year's triathlon was quite eventful with a wicked summer storm that ended up calling the race early. It was initially decided to cancel the swim and add a 3 mile run loop because the lightning was too close to call. Once the race commenced, the rain started and by the time the first lap of the bike leg it was an all out gully washer (as they call it in the South). The high tide and wind caused the water to flood over the road in front of the Casa de Marchesi so all the participants and spectators enjoyed the Mother Nature show from inside. A big thanks to the Marchesi Clan for the indoor bbq and race organization! The word is that there will be a "locals" version of the triathlon in the next few weekends to see who will reign as the champ for the next year. More photos here.
