In my desire to improve my photography skills, I am constantly seeking inspiration from the wide world of amazing digital photographers on the internet.
One of my favorites is Jessica Claire and she is based in So Cal and her style for capturing 'life' is right up my alley. She has a great blog that gives snipits of her work so I can go for inspiration at the click of a button. As you can see, I have a long ways to go but that is why it is called INSPIRATION :-)

I have tons of pictures to go through from our fun-filled vacation to Charleston so stay tuned. For now, you can see that Ike had a good visit with Jimmie & Pepe. Thanks Mom & Dad!
Out on the water watching Daddy sail in the Melges regatta. All Ike says is "GO FAST" while on the boat, as you can see Pepe didn't disappoint.

Ike and I are in Charleston where it is HOT, HOT, HOT! Harcourt will be down later in the week for a big Melges regatta but for now Ike and I are enjoying spending time with family, swimming in the pool and going for boat rides. Last night we took the boat to California Dreaming for dinner. This morning Ike and Pepe played and he said "no school" so I think he gets it!

Today is our 4th Anniversary and Harcourt is away in Newport at a boat show. So, here is a little trip down our memory lane from September 2004.

Oh yes, that is me... spontaneously deciding to serenade Harcourt by singing Patsy Cline's "Crazy"... and yes, I was crazy! But it was fun and memorable!

My Dad told me about this cool new site for tracking tropical storms/hurricanes, www.stormpulse.com. I think it puts all the weather stations out there to shame- these graphics are amazing!
By the way, how crazy is it that there is a Hurricane IKE.... all I can say is if it behaves as erraticly as my toddler, named Ike, then Texas better be prepared!

Very big weekend hosting the Sonar Long Island Sound Championships at SHYC. TS Hanna sandwiched herself right in the middle of the weekend but thankfully the worst was in the middle of the Saturday night. A huge pat on the back to Wilber, Harcourt and Ginz for all their hard work in organizing the event. More to come from Harcourt on the details....
