It's official... the season is on! Sachems Head Yacht Club kicked off the season with a traditional opening ceremony, hamburgers from the galley, a few Sonar races and a cocktail party! It was very exciting to have Ike at his first offical day at the Club- afterall he is a 4th generation and the 3rd Harcourt Schutz to be a member of the Club. More pics here.
Also tradition is Harcourt departs for Block Island Race Week on Sunday after the Club opening so Ike and I are solo this week. He is on the Savasna and with 24 J/105's on the starting line they should have some great racing... after day 1 they are in 1st!
The opening ceremony is full of tradition- all the past Commodore's are on the porch in their red pants and blazers.
The harbor is full!
The Black Jack's new look was quite the talk of the town. Harcourt was excited by the result!
