Block Island

Ike and I made the best of a "sick day" from daycare- he had a bad rash on his leg so couldn't go to school so we made a last minute jaunt to Block Island to be with Harcourt on his final day of Race Week. Savasna took the big prize- 1st place in the J105 class and they also won the Wasley Perpetual Trophy for outstanding one design racing- way to go!!! Maggie even made it out to be with us and I think she had a nice time with us and Harcourt's friends... it was her first sailing event. More pics here.

We were very spoiled with airplane rides to/from Chester to Block. Peter Ginz showed us a great ride back- Ike was right at home on the plane but I guess it does run in his blood.

Saturday was some windy racing at SHYC- blowing 25 and Amy Steffen was on board as crew and had a great time with Bing and Rick. Hopefully that was the first of many times for her on the Black Jack.
A few shots of the patio- 90% done- some grass seeding, few more vincas to be planted and 1 tree to go. It is far outweighed our expectations. Not that we didn't have high expectations but I think when it is your first big project there is anxiety involved but Rob Wilber is a pro! We will have more pics coming but here are a few for now.
