Ike Facts

I was talking to Ashleigh today about names for her sisters new dog and we started looking on baby name websites and in the process I came across some interesting facts about the name "IKE". According to the Census Bureau, the name Ike had its hay day from 1880-1900 and since then the population of Ikes has drastically decreased and after 1950 it isn't even on the chart.

Also, according to babynames.com: "The meaning of the name Ike is He Will Laugh. The origin of the name Ike is American." Although I wonder how and who determines the meaning of a name, I like that his is a happy thing :-)
